We are thrilled to introduce Dr. Nico Buttazzoni, the newest Sherwood Chiropractic Centre team addition.

Dr. Nico brings a wealth of experience, a passion for wellness, and a commitment to providing top-notch chiropractic care to our community.

Background and Education

Dr. Nico Buttazzoni was born and raised in Hinton, Alberta. His chiropractic care journey began with his deep interest in sports and wellness. After high school, he pursued his passion by studying kinesiology at the University of Alberta’s Augustana campus. During his time there, Dr. Nico was a dedicated student and an active participant in the university community, serving as the Men’s Hockey team trainer for two and a half years.

After earning his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, Dr. Nico moved to San Jose, California, to attend the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic West. He dedicated four more years to rigorous studies and hands-on training, graduating with honours and earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. With his education complete, he returned to Canada and began practicing in Calgary.

Professional Experience

Dr. Nico spent two and a half years in Calgary, where he honed his skills and gained valuable experience. His dedication to the field extended beyond the clinic, as he volunteered to provide chiropractic care to athletes at lacrosse tournaments and the junior A Hinton Timberwolves Hockey team during their travels. His commitment to athlete care underscores his understanding of the importance of chiropractic treatment in maintaining peak physical performance and overall wellness.

Approach to Chiropractic Care

From a young age, Dr. Nico’s personal experiences with sports injuries fueled his passion for chiropractic care. This passion is evident in his comprehensive approach to patient care. He believes in understanding the root of each patient’s problem through a thorough history and examination. Dr. Nico is dedicated to crafting unique treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs, ensuring the most effective and personalized care.

His extensive range of techniques includes:

  • diversified adjusting technique,
  • soft tissue techniques,
  • rehabilitative exercises,
  • and patient education.

Dr. Nico’s primary goal is to alleviate pain and prevent future injuries through education and exercises. He empowers his patients with knowledge and practical tools to help them achieve long-term wellness and a pain-free lifestyle.

Personal Interests

When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Nico leads an active and fulfilling life. He loves spending time with friends and family, and he embraces a variety of physical activities. Some of his favourite pastimes include playing hockey, hiking, running, and weightlifting. His active lifestyle and personal commitment to health and fitness reflect his professional ethos and dedication to promoting wellness in all aspects of life.


Starting July 5th, Dr. Nico will be available for bookings on Fridays and Saturdays. This limited schedule will continue until August 20th, when he begins booking full-time. We encourage you to take advantage of his initial availability and experience his exceptional care.
