Deep tissue massage alleviates muscle pain, decreases inflammation, increases blood flow, and promotes relaxation and well-being.
Melanie, a graduate from Makami College, has been practicing massage therapy since 2013. Melanie specializes in therapeutic/deep tissue massage and has received certification in Dynamic Cupping and Advanced Orthopedic Massage and Subconscious Imprinting Technique. She also received her diploma in Holistic Nutrition in 2017.

Lisa has been a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) since 2003 after completing the 2200 hour massage program at Grant MacEwen, and was a valuable part of the massage team at SCC for her first 5 years of practice. Since leaving the clinic after that she continued to practice on a part time basis out of her home while balancing massage with the parenting responsibilities of her three children.
We are happy that she has returned to SCC and will be contributing part time hours with us again.
Lisa’s practice focus is deep tissue therapeutic massage, although she is also comfortable delivering amazing relaxation massage as well.
Outside of her clinic hours Lisa is focused on being a “Super Mom,” horses and riding, looking after her funny farm, and gardening.
Zac is a graduate of Makami College’s 3000 hour program and therefore recognized as a registered massage therapist (RMT) in Alberta. He specializes in deep tissue and sports massage, and trigger point therapy – a very good fit with the SCC auxiliary therapy philosophy.
He was initially motivated to become a massage therapist to help people feel their best and live healthier lives. Zac is legally blind and is supported by his service dog. She accompanies Zac during massage sessions as well as in his other daily activities.
Zac enjoys life to its fullest and stays engaged in a variety of physical activities which include playing on an all blind hockey team named the Sea Hawks, and tandem cycling in the summer with friends and family. All of us at SCC look forward to working together with Zac.
*Massage appointments with Zac are now available and can be booked through our front end staff.
